happy peopleAt Community Resources for Human Services, we strive to improve the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. We aim to do this through the provision of services and resources specifically catered to match their needs and situation.

We offer the following services:

  • Licensed 6400 Residential Homes
    We want to provide the individuals that reside in our licensed 6400 homes with the opportunity to live their life to the fullest, while also functioning as an active member of the community. Residents are provided with day-to-day assistance and they are also encouraged to socialize with other residents and to participate in community activities.
  • Licensed 6500 Family Living
    We can provide a range of services in the private home of an individual or family wherein residential care is provided to 1 or 2 individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. This is in accordance with the Pennsylvania Code 55 Department of Public Welfare Chapter 6500.
  • Unlicensed Family Living
    We provide services for individual residents in their own unlicensed home. We also provide services to the unlicensed homes of a relative, other family, or a friend. We assist with activities of daily living and other care needs.
  • Companion Services
    We offer companionship to homebound patients. Our companions offer individuals with someone to talk to and they also offer assistance with various day-to-day activities and simple household chores.
  • In-home and Community Habilitation
    We offer in-home and community habilitation services to allow those with intellectual and developmental disabilities with the opportunity to maintain their independence, and to continue participating in different community activities. We assist them in completing basic daily living tasks within the comfort of their own home.
  • Respite
    Through our respite service, we allow family members of those with intellectual and developmental disabilities with the opportunity to take a break from their caregiving duties. Through respite, a qualified caregiver will handle all of the care needs of your loved one as you go take care of your other tasks and get some much-needed rest.
  • Homemaker
    Our caregivers can offer home maker services to keep each client’s home clean and organized. They can offer a range of services such as laundry assistance, throwing out the trash, vacuuming, plant care, changing linens and sheets, cleaning all rooms, and more.
  • Chores
    We can assist with your various household chores ranging from washing dishes, laundry, ironing, changing and washing sheets, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning the kitchen, cleaning appliances, running errands, grocery shopping, and more.
